Sunday, Sept. 6: The first week of September left traders with a useful split screen. NVDA climbed 4.3%, MU jumped 6.0%, and the chip ETF SMH gained 1.9%. The broader QQQ barely moved. AVGO, despite a powerful AI quarter, finished the week down 3.4%.
That is the weekend read: AI demand is still real, but the market is getting choosier about who gets paid for it. The Alpha Dashboard is the cleanest way to watch that handoff from headline to ticker: flow, trend strength, sector leadership, and the names that keep attracting size.
The Monday question: when AI leaders stop trading as a single basket, which name still has both price and flow behind it? See the AlphaX Options view before the open.
The week’s tape, in one glance

- Monday: Broadcom earnings showed the AI bar moving higher. The quarter was strong, but the stock still needed a better forward setup.
- Wednesday: Micron’s chart put the memory trade back in focus, with the dashboard framing the reclaim as a test of follow-through.
- Tuesday: The energy second-derivative trade got its own look in this setup, a reminder that data-center demand reaches beyond chips.
What the Alpha Dashboard says next
The fresh dashboard view is still risk-on, but not indiscriminate. Its Alpha Trades panel showed call activity in NVDA, PLTR, AMZN, and TSLA. That matters because it gives Monday’s watchlist a hierarchy: start with names where price strength and repeated flow agree, then ask whether the move is broadening or narrowing.

On my radar
- NVDA: Can the +100 trend-strength reading hold if the stock pauses after a four-day push?
- MU: The Sept. 30 earnings date is the next major catalyst; watch whether the breakout keeps pulling sector flow with it.
There is also a useful calendar check. ORCL reports on Sept. 10, giving traders a near-term read on cloud demand and the data-center buildout that feeds the chip complex. If that print reinforces the infrastructure story, the dashboard should show whether flow rotates back into AVGO or keeps concentrating in memory and GPU leaders.
That is the setup for the new week. The AI trade is not broken; it is sorting itself. Let the dashboard show which names are earning the next dollar of attention.
P.S. If Monday’s tape starts splitting again, AlphaX Options can help you see the strike map before the move becomes obvious: open the options view.
