NVDA Earnings: The Dashboard’s Cleanest AI Signal

Wednesday, Aug. 26: NVIDIA has the rare setup where the chart, the options tape, and the calendar all point to the same place. Earnings land after the bell. The Alpha Dashboard has NVDA at a +100 trend-strength score with $4.8 million in bullish flow across six orders.

That is why this is today’s Chart of the Day. The stock is not drifting into the event. It is coming in as the dashboard’s top bullish single name, even as the broader semiconductor tape takes a pause. The question is not whether the market knows the report matters. It does. The question is whether price can hold its recent structure when the headline risk arrives.

I pulled up the dashboard before lunch and saw a clean split: QQQ flow was the largest bullish leader at $9.3 million, while NVDA supplied the strongest stock-specific read. That makes the chart more useful than a simple “AI is hot” headline.

THE BELL IS THE CATALYST

The hard part comes after the close: can the next print confirm the dashboard’s signal, or turn a strong trend score into a crowded trade? AlphaX Options maps the strikes around the event so the move has context, not just drama.

The chart says leadership, not lift-off

From July 1 through the Aug. 26 session, NVDA gained ground while the semiconductor ETF SMH lagged and QQQ held closer to flat. The top panel shows the stock still above its early-summer base, but below the $220 area that acted as a near-term supply zone. At 11:07 a.m. ET, the quote feed showed NVDA at $211.25, down 0.84% on the session.

NVDA remains the relative-strength leader into earnings. The chart uses Realtime Finance Data daily OHLCV history from July 1 through Aug. 26, 2026; the red marker is the 11:07 a.m. ET quote snapshot.

The lower panel is the tell. NVDA sits above its July 1 starting point by more than the two comparison ETFs. That is the kind of separation the dashboard’s trend score is designed to surface. It does not predict the earnings number. It shows which name is carrying leadership before the binary event.

What the dashboard is flagging

The dashboard read is broad enough to matter, but narrow enough to test. ETF/N leads sector flow at $31 million across 21 orders. TECH follows with $13.8 million across 16 orders, including 15 calls and one put. Inside that bullish pocket, NVDA is the clearest large-cap signal, ahead of MU at $3.4 million and DRAM at $4 million.

Alpha Dashboard snapshot observed Aug. 26, 2026: NVDA led the bullish single-name list with a +100 trend score and $4.8 million in flow.

That gives the chart a useful job tonight. If you open the Alpha Dashboard after the release, watch whether NVDA keeps its trend score and whether semiconductor flow spreads to MU and SMH. A single-name beat with no follow-through would be a different message from a beat that lifts the full AI complex.

Levels and catalysts after the bell

  • $220: The first overhead reference on the chart. A clean reclaim would put the recent high zone back in play.
  • $211.25: The live quote snapshot before the report. Holding near this area keeps the stock above the sharp Aug. 24 washout.
  • $207.25: The Aug. 24 daily low. A break below it would show that the event erased the latest rebound.
  • 5:00 p.m. ET: NVIDIA’s scheduled fiscal Q2 FY2027 call time, per the company’s newsroom notice.

Reuters reported that options markets priced a 5.4% move for the session after earnings. NVIDIA’s own notice confirms the results call is set for 5 p.m. ET. Those facts frame the range, but the dashboard supplies the decision tree: does the flow stay bullish, does the score hold, and does price respect the chart’s prior highs?

The clean read is not “buy the report.” It is simpler: NVDA is the AI trade’s test case. If the stock clears the event with leadership intact, the dashboard will likely keep it near the top of the board. If it loses the $207 area and the flow flips, the chart will say the market wanted proof, not another promise.

P.S. Tonight’s edge is the strike map around the earnings move. See the AlphaX Options research before the next sweep changes the chart.
