Earnings season is my favorite time to be a trader.
It’s not because of the high-risk high-reward plays it offers.
Those are fun. But not my favorite thing.
It’s the drift.
That’s what I love to trade.
Little do people know that the events that take place after the earnings announcement, often provide even greater potential returns.
And they are more consistent.
Gambling on the event will always be just that. A gamble.
If you want to do that, you don’t need any other research or analysis. Just throw darts at the earnings board and see what sticks.
It’s fun. I do a few of those every earnings season and they have the change to provide monster returns.
But for larger amounts of capital, you want a more consistent strategy that can help you win 60% to 70% of your trades, with bigger winners compared to your losers.
That’s the key to growing your account.
