Micron Stock Chart: The $1,109 Earnings Test

Micron is the AI chart with a clock attached today. The company reports fiscal fourth-quarter results after the close, and the most recent Alpha Dashboard snapshot showed strong trend strength and a large bullish-flow tally. The chart now asks a clean question: can MU reclaim last week’s high, or will traders sell the news?

At 11:02 a.m. ET, MU’s Alpha Dashboard context meets a live quote of $1,075.75, up 1.0% from Tuesday’s close. The stock is still below its Sep. 25 high of $1,108.72. That leaves a tight line between an earnings breakout and a failed retest. The price history is available in Micron’s daily chart record.

If results are strong, the first move may be easy to see. The harder read comes next: does price hold the old ceiling as support, or does it slip back into the range? That is where the chart can disagree with the headline.

The chart: a sharp reset, then a climb

I like this setup because the climb has not been a straight line. MU fell to an $823.03 close on July 31, then worked back toward a Sep. 25 intraday high of $1,108.72. The run leaves a nearby ceiling, not empty air. Price must still prove that buyers will pay more after the earnings print.

Micron stock chart through September 29 with moving averages and key earnings levels
MU daily closes through Sep. 29, plus the Sep. 30 11:02 a.m. ET quote. The prior-week high and this week’s lows frame the first reaction zones.

Three marks matter more than a long list of indicators:

  • $1,108.72: Friday’s high and the near-term ceiling.
  • $1,057.70: Tuesday’s low; buyers need to defend this area to keep the short pullback shallow.
  • $1,032: Monday’s low and the deeper pivot if the first support gives way.

The narrow gap is the point. This morning’s quote sits only about 3% below the Sep. 25 high and less than 2% above Tuesday’s low. A strong report can still produce a hard reversal if the stock cannot hold the breakout area. The full-quarter tape behind these levels is visible in Micron’s historical chart.

What the Alpha Dashboard flagged

One timestamp matters here: the latest dashboard date available when I checked was Friday, Sep. 25, not today. In that snapshot, MU carried a +100 trend-strength score and $26.4 million in the bullish-leaderboard flow tally. The read was constructive, but it is not a live Sep. 30 options signal. Treat it as the setup into this week, then let today’s price action update the story.

Alpha Dashboard snapshot dated September 25 showing Micron trend strength and bullish flow leadership
Alpha Dashboard, Friday Sep. 25 snapshot: MU ranked +100 in trend strength and appeared among bullish leaders. The selected dashboard date is visible in the capture.

That is why I would open the Alpha Dashboard beside the earnings chart: the flow panel shows how participants were positioned before the event, while the price panel shows whether those bets gained acceptance. Check the date selector first. A Friday signal is useful context, not proof of what is trading now.

Tonight’s test: growth, margins, and follow-through

Micron says it will report its fiscal fourth-quarter results on Sep. 30 and hold its call at 4:30 p.m. Eastern, after the regular session. The company’s release notice sets the event time. For the AI trade, listen for more than a headline beat: revenue quality, gross-margin direction, and the supply outlook for high-bandwidth memory can shape how investors price the next leg.

Two paths are easy to map. If buyers push through $1,108.72 and hold it after the call, the chart says the market accepted the update. If the stock turns down and loses $1,057.70, watch whether $1,032 attracts buyers or becomes a trapdoor. Neither level predicts the report. They give traders a way to judge the reaction without guessing at the number.

Before the release, the chart tells a restrained story: bullish flow was visible in the latest dashboard snapshot, but price is still boxed between a nearby high and a nearby low. The next move has to earn confirmation.

P.S. If tonight’s report pushes MU beyond the $1,108.72 line, AlphaX Options can help you map the next strike cluster before the follow-through fades: see the options toolkit.
